The journalists were shown significant Venues of the Universiade 2013 - Football Stadium for 45 000 spectators and Aquatics Palace

Today the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan held a press tour around the Universiade Venues under construction: Football Stadium for 45 000 spectators and Aquatics Palace. The journalists were accompanied by First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing F.M.Khanifov and Deputy Minister A.S. Akhmetshin

Football stadium is designed for holding of football matches of international and national levels inclusive of holding of official matches of the finals of the FIFA World Cup 2018-2022, arrangement of entertainment and recreational activities, festivals, concerts, performances and etc. The general contractor is “Manufacturing and construction association” Kazan” LLC, subcontractors are “Inteks” LLC and “Kamgesenergostroi” OJSC.

1548 constructors work at the object, at the moment they are installing cast-in-situ structures of the stadium, temporary and basic metal structures.

The general contractor of Aquatics Palace construction is “MCA” Kazan" LLC, subcontractors are “Sviyagastroi” LLC and “Stroiinzhiniring” LLC.

The building of Aquatics Palace is designed to teach children to swim, to ensure the activities of departments of Children's and Youth Sports School and Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve in swimming, water polo, synchronized swimming, diving as well as of schools of high sports skills; to hold competitions of republican, all-Russian, European and world levels.

During the Universiade swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo competitions will be held at the Venue. In 2015 World Water Sports Championships are to be held thereat.

There will be 3 swimming-baths in the building for diving, synchronized swimming and water polo competitions, a competitive arena and a training facility.
