Rustam Minnikhanov meets FISU Secretary General

Today the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met Secretary General of International University Sports Federation Eric Saintrond in Kazan city. The meeting was held in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan. Mayor of Kazan city Ilsur Metshin, Minister of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Rafis Burganov, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin, Head of the Universiade 2013 Executive Committee Vladimir Leonov, First Vice-President of FISU – President of Russian University Sports Union  Oleg Matytsin and Director of Summer Universiades Mark Vandenplas participated in the meeting.

FISU delegation visits Kazan city within the framework of the preparation for the regular meeting of FISU Executive Committee, the extraordinary meeting of FISU General Assembly and the awarding ceremony of the best athletes of FISU Gala. Rustam Minnikhanov and Eric Saintrond discussed the preparation for these events at the meeting today.

 FISU delegation will stay in Kazan for four days. During this period the members of the delegation will meet the functional areas of ANO “Executive Committee Kazan 2013” responsible for the organization and holding of the above-mentioned events. Moreover, there will be approved a final program of the events, the financial estimates of the regular meeting of FISU Executive Committee and the extraordinary meeting of FISU General Assembly.
