Plants construction by residents gathers pace in SEZ “Alabuga”

Today the following residents as “Trakja Glass Rus” CJSC, “Automativ Glas Alyans Rus” LLC, “Kastamonu Integreyted Wood Industry” LLC and “ALABUGA-VOLOKNO” LLC are actively constructing their plants in a special economic zone “Alabuga”.

 “Trakja Glass Rus” CJSC is implementing a project for the production of structural (flat) glass, mirrors, coated glass. At the first stage the company plans to build a production line with a capacity of 250 tons of flat glass per year. Turkish company “TEPE Insaat” was involved as a general contractor. The total number of workers involved in the construction process including subcontractors is more than 230 people. More than 70 units of equipment are involved at the construction site. Currently concrete work is being performed. Production is to be started up in the 1st quarter of 2014.

The project of “Automativ Glas Alyans Rus” LLC is aimed at the production of automotive glass for the needs of the Russian market.  Currently concrete work is being performed. Production is to be started up in the second half of 2013.

 “Kastamonu Integreyted Wood Industry” LLC is planning to implement a project for the production of MDF slabs, particle boards and OSB slabs in 3 stages: production of MDF slabs in amount of 380 thousand cubic meters per year, and the production is to be started up in the second half of 2013; production of particle boards in amount of 725 thousand cubic meters per year, and the production is to be started up in the 4th quarter of 2015; production of OSB slabs in the amount of 575 thousand cubic meters per year, and the production is to be started up in the 1st quarter of 2017.

As of today, the general contractor “Compass Engineering” LLC is rapidly building a plant for the production of MDF slabs: precast concrete columns of the industrial building have been installed, trusses are being erected and roofing work is being performed. Water supply networks are being completed towards the territory of the plant.

In May of this year “the foundation stone” was already laid in the base of the plant for processing carbon fiber “ALABUGA VOLOKNO” LLC in a special economic zone “Alabuga” and today the general contractor “MPO Insaat” CJSC is performing the installation of foundations and the erection of metal structures of the future plant. In spite of the existing delay in delivery and installation of metal structures, the contractor is taking all measures to complete the work within the deadlines. To date, 96 people as well as 11 units of special equipment have been attracted at the construction site. The work is being carried out in a long day mode, every day the builders install more than 30 tons of metal structures.
