Minister I.E. Faizullin participates in the formation of the working group on the modernization of housing and public utilities of the Russian Federation

Today Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan I.E. Faizullin is on a working trip in Moscow where he participated in the meeting on the formation of the working group on the modernization of housing and public utilities in the Russian Federation. The meeting was held by the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation.

Tatarstan has the experience in this field. From 2004 to 2010 the Republic implemented the program at the cost of more than 33 billion rubles including 22 billion rubles used for the modernization of public utilities.

The program reduced the number of loss-making organizations. There has been a reduction of depreciation of heat supply utilities - from 55 to 48% and water and sewage utilities - from 51 to 49%.

The level of payments made by citizens for consumed housing and communal services increased up to 98.3% in 2010 versus 93% in 2003. The level of improvement in the housing sector also was increased by water supply utilities up to 85.7% (5.6% increase), by sewage utilities up to 79.6% (6.4% increase), by heating supply utilities up to 96.9% (an increase of 5 4%), hot water supply utilities up to 72.1% (5.8% increase).

Besides other integrated projects were implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan: the program on major repairs in apartment houses and citizens movement for the failing housing stock, the republican target program on installation of metering devices for consumed public resources, the energy and resource efficiency program, installation of double-pressure boilers and the republican program “Pure water”.
