JSC "Tatenergosbyt" begins to introduce intelligent metering devices

Starting 1st of July, 2020, the guaranteeing supplier and network organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan will begin to create smart electricity metering systems, including the installation of smart meters for consumers of the republic, in accordance with Federal Law dd 27.12.2018 N 522-ФЗ “On Amending Certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation in connection with the development of electric energy (capacity) metering systems in the Russian Federation. ” Installation of smart metering devices in multi-apartment residential buildings is entrusted to the guaranteeing supplier - JSC "Tatenergosbyt", in the private sector and from legal entities to JSC "Network Company". Please note that consumers do not need to pay for the metering device, its installation, replacement and sealing, the whole range of services is free. Smart metering of electricity gives consumers a number of advantages: Remote transmission and access to meter data; quality control of electric energy; the correctness of payments for electricity; remote reprogramming, switching to other tariffs; the exception of unaccounted for electricity consumption and unauthorized interference in the operation of the meter; reduction of electric energy losses and volumes of electricity for general household needs.
