Three Kazan underground stations under construction represented to reporters

Today the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan organized a press tour to the Kazan underground station under construction for reporters of federal and republican mass media. the reporters were accompanied by Head of the Department for the building complex development of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan  I.S.Gimayev, Head of SPI “Directorate for the construction of underground transportation facilities”  A.G.Tsertseil, Head of MUP “Kazmetrostroy” M.M.Rakhimov and experts of the Federal Service of Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision.

The first station under construction presented to the reporters was “Yashlek” station.The installation of waterproofing layer of the breakdown chamber is being carried out, concrete structures of the air duct are being installed, face work is being carried out on the platform area and stair approaches, internal network of water supply and sewage are being installed, the installation of automation, alarm and communication systems as well as external ventilation network.

As for station “Severny railway station” the following work is being completed: installation of reinforced concrete structures in concourse 2 , decoration work in concourses and the platform area,  face work in concourse 2 and platform, construction of reinforced concrete structures of stair approaches 1 and 3, face work of stair approaches 1 and 3 by granite, installation of architectural lighting of the platform area, installation of the equipment for a combined traction substation, installation of internal network of water supply and sewage  as well as automation, alarm and communication systems.

As for station “Aviastroitelnaya” the work is also being completed here: internal utilities (water line, sewage, heating) are being constructed, automation, alarm and communication systems are being installed, composite panels of the wall-mounted system of the platform area are being constructed, installation of architectural lighting of the platform area is being carried out, internal structures of the ventilation connection are being installed,  the entry section of the underground garage is being constructed and interior decoration of the garage is being completing.

During the press tour the Volga Region Administration of the Federal Service of Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision gave comments following the results of the final inspection of the underground station construction held by the supervisory authority in February 2013. Following the results of the audit some violations were revealed and the Federal Service of Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision issued an order to eliminate violations within the set period to the building owner. At the moment the builders have eliminated most of the problems which appeared during the construction of new stations. The remaining defects will be eliminated in the shortest possible time.
The builders are going to commission all three stations by May 9th, 2013, and then to begin the construction of new station “Dubravnaya” (next after station “Prospekt Pobedy”).
