Rustam Minnikhanov: “Today is not the time to build anyhow”

As of today, 634.3 square meters of housing equal to 25 percent of the annual amount have been commissioned in Tatarstan. This was announced by Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin at the republican videoconference meeting on the construction and commission of new housing. The meeting was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov.

As for the social mortgage program 26 houses with the total area of 131.3 thousand square meters for 2.316 apartments have been commissioned. According to Irek Faizullin among 107 objects of the program the degree of readiness is the following: 47 objects have a high degree of readiness, 24 objects have an average degree of readiness and 36 objects have a low degree of readiness.

Speaking about the improvement of living conditions of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the Head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic noted that 98 houses for 491 veterans were being built in Tatarstan. 19 objects have a high degree of readiness, 19 objects have an average degree of readiness and 60 objects have a low degree of readiness. 218 veterans in 29 municipalities have not concluded the contracts yet.

As for the program of apartment investment housing among 99 houses 65 houses have a high degree of readiness, 13 houses have an average degree of readiness and 21 houses have a low degree of readiness.

As for low-rise housing construction including private housing construction among 6719 objects 1690 houses have a high degree of readiness, 2342 have an average degree of readiness and 2687 houses have a low degree of readiness.

Finally, the Head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic drew attention of heads of municipalities to unregistered housing available today within their territories. Irek Faizullin said that there was a lot of such housing, and therefore the Ministry of Construction of the Republic had addressed recommendations describing the mechanism of the activities to be carried out in this area in 2013 to the municipalities.

 “Most people start the registration of houses and annexes when they need to sell their property or register their rights of inheritance. In this case, the lack of this work influences the tax base of the areas”, said the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan and asked the heads of the municipalities to strengthen the work of the commissions for unregistered housing in their areas.

In his turn the President of the Republic drew attention to the quality of the work of the builders when constructing houses in the Republic. “Today is not the time to build anyhow”, said Rustam Minnikhanov at the end of the meeting.
