Today Armstrong World Industries, Inc. lays the corner stone in the foundation of the plant for the production of suspended ceiling systems in SEZ “Alabuga”

Today “Armstrong World Industries, Inc.” company being a world leader in the design and production of floors, metal, wooden and mineral fiber ceilings and suspension systems with an emphasis on innovation, design and environmental sustainability, laid the corner stone in the foundation of the plant for the production of suspended ceiling systems.

The ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Chief Executive Officer and President of “Armstrong World Industries” company Matthew Espy, Director General of “Special Economic Zones” OJSC S.M.Trushko, Director General of “IP SEZ “Alabuga” T.N.Shagivaleyev and Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Yu.L.Alyashev.

The plant “Armstrong Building Products” LLC will be another major project in the field of construction materials producing industries implemented in SEZ “Alabuga”. The amount of investment in the project will be more than 2 billion rubles. The planned volume of production is 22 million m2 of ceiling slabs. Finished products will be supplied mainly to markets in Russia and CIS. The production is to be started up in the 4th quarter of 2014. It is estimated to create 206 jobs.
