Marat Aizatullin told parliamentarians about the situation of providing the population with high-quality drinking water

The twenty-second meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the sixth convocation took place today. The session was attended by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Councilor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, members of the Government and invited guests. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin. The agenda, according to the decision of the Presidium, included 41 issues, including 7 legislative initiatives of the State Council on amendments to federal legislation, 11 draft republican laws and 14 federal bills. One of the speakers was the Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services of the Republic Marat Aizatullin. In his speech, he said that six investment programs in the field of water supply and sanitation have been approved for 2021 with a financing plan for a year in the amount of 2 billion 633 million rubles. Compared to the previous year, the volume of financing has doubled. The head of the Ministry of Construction also recalled that since 2019, Tatarstan has been participating in the implementation of the federal project "Clean Water" of the national project "Housing and Urban Environment", within the framework of which measures are being taken to improve the quality of water in existing water supply systems. He noted that the main goal of the project is to bring the share of the republic's population provided with quality drinking water from centralized water supply systems to 93.8% by 2024. So, thanks to the federal project in 2019, work was carried out to reconstruct the water intake in the town of Bolgar, Spassky municipal district. This made it possible to provide 8,476 residents of the city with high-quality drinking water.
