Major repairs not started in two schools of the Republic of Tatarstan

Major repairs have not been started in two schools in Novosheshminsky area and in Kazan accordingly. This was announced today by Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin at a meeting in the Government House of Tatarstan. He said that after some examination it had become clear that in the program on major repairs would not be able to carry out in Novosheshminsky area due to the school’s poor condition. “We have to make a different decision”, said the Head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic. And in one of the high schools of the capital of Tatarstan the contractor did not start working, so it is essential to raise the question of his replacement. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the decision on Novosheshminsky area should be made as soon as possible. Speaking generally about the program on major repairs of schools in 2013, Irek Faizullin reported that the work is being carried out in 165 of 167 schools: roofing is being installed in 120 schools, and this work has been completed in 37 schools; windows are being installed in 136 schools and completed in 45 schools; entrances are being repaired in 48 schools and completed in 3 schools, interior doors are being installed in 118 schools and completed in 9 schools; bathrooms are being repaired in 102 schools and completed in 11 schools; internal networks are being mounted in 118 schools and completed in 3 schools; facade are being renovated in 34 schools and completed in 3 schools; blind areas are being constructed  in 31 schools and completed in 13 schools; finishing (provided for special schools) is being made in 5 schools.
