The first stone on the territory of the river port was laid in Kazan
President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of a residential complex on the territory of the river port. The ceremony was also attended by Peter Koltypin, Vice President and Chairman of the Volga-Vyatka Bank of Sberbank, Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan, and Marat Aizatullin, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan.
It is assumed that the new residential complex will be a medium-rise block building with a living area of more than 100 thousand square meters. The architectural concept of the residential complex provides for the reflection of the Tatar national identity, for example, the image of the Syuyumbike tower in the outlines of buildings. When choosing facade and color solutions, the architects took into account samples of Tatar national embroidery of the XIX century.
It is planned that 1.5 million square meters of housing and 1.3 million square meters of administrative and commercial premises will appear here. Multifunctional buildings will be mainly of medium height in combination with high-rise dominants in key urban planning points. The territory will be saturated with public and cultural venues and is publicly accessible.
