Rustam Minnikhanov visited the renovated boiler house «Azino»

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the modernized boiler house «Azino» in Kazan. He was accompanied by Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Marat Aizatullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, General Director of JSC Tatenergo Rauzil Khaziev.

The Azino boiler house was put into operation in 1987 to provide heat supply to the residential district of the same name. Due to the further increase in thermal loads, the construction of the second hot water boiler was completed and put into operation in 1994. In the autumn of 2022, the third hot water boiler will be put into operation.

The modernization of the boiler house in the actively built-up Sovetsky district of Kazan has increased thermal capacity by 100 Gcal/h, which makes it possible to provide heat supply to the existing heated areas of about 3.7 million sq.m. housing for 140 thousand residents. In addition, this makes it possible to connect an additional 1.1 million square meters of heated area for 50 thousand residents.

During the modernization, 280 tons of metal structures, 105.7 km of cable, 8.5 km of pipelines were installed, 3,500 m3 of concrete was poured, 28,300 m2 of territory was landscaped.

For centralized control, management and ensuring safe operation, hot water boilers, backup fuel facilities, electrical and auxiliary equipment are equipped with a modern full-scale automated process control system.
