The program on major repairs of housing in Kazan for 2013 completed by 83%

2 August 2013, Friday

Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Aleksei Pesoshin assessed the quality of major repairs of apartment houses in Moskovsky and Kirovsky districts.

The city manager accompanied by Chairman of the Housing Committee Iskander Giniyatullin, Director of Technical Supervision Authorities Asiya Gudz, Head of the Administration of  Kirovsky and Moskovsky areas Damir Fattakhov and managers of contractors inspected the renovated houses in Chkalov Vosstanya and 2nd Yugo-Zapadnaya Streets.

It is to be recalled that 154 houses are being repaired this year under the program on major repairs of apartment houses; 1.33 billion rubles were allocated for this purpose. According to Iskander Giniyatullin, the program has been implemented by 83%. Kirovsky district with the work almost completed is a leader in terms of major repairs.

Residents of house no.13 in Chkalov Street said they were very lucky. This year the house has been included in the list of houses to be repaired entirely, so all the work has been completed by 100%.  As reported by Director of “MC” “Zarechye” LLC Oleg Kalimov, heating, cold water supply, sewerage and electricity systems have been replaced and the entrance groups have been repaired. However, the visit of the city leadership has brought more good news.

“Federal Fund Assisting the Restructuring of Housing and Public Utilities has allocated an additional premium to Kazan for its excellent work. 1.8 million rubles from this amount will be allocated to repair the façade of your house”, said Aleksei Pesoshin.

As noted by Damir Fattakhov, the renovated house would look much worse if the yard had not been repaired. Once it was one of the most “sad yards” in the district, but now there is a children's playground, landscaped area and a repaired driveway. As assured the Head of the district administration, the residents will plant here flowers and shrubs in autumn.

This year major repairs in almost all houses is carried out after the energy audit. As part of the implementation of energy saving measures the workers are carrying out the sealing of joints, insulation of facades and roofs, installation of insulated entry doors, as well as improving the thermal insulation of pipelines using modern plastic pipes in water supply, heating and sanitation systems, installing modern heating appliances in apartments and energy-saving lamps with photo acoustic sensor switches in entrances.

Weather control units for central heating systems were installed in the basement of the house in Chkalov Street, and its entrances were equipped with energy-efficient windows. As noted by Aleksei Pesoshin, in terms of energy efficiency one should select the thing that will give the maximum effect. “There are not very expensive but effective measures, and those measures that will be repaid in 300 years are not for us”, he explained.

House no. 65 in Vosstaniya Street underwent a great deal of repair work, starting with the replacement of communications, repairs of porches and facades. According to Director of “Management Company of Housing and Public Utilities of Moskovsky district” Ismagil Garifullin, next Monday the house will be assessed by the state commission.

During the inspection Aleksei Pesoshin drew attention to the large amount of wires on the walls. However, as assured Iskander Giniyatullin, all owners of low-power networks had committed to put them in order in a month's time.

The central heating system in the house located in 2d Yugo-Zapadnaya Street was repaired in 2006, and this year the workers replaced the roof. This year, the lifting equipment will be replaced in four entrances. The other lifts will be replaced in 2014.

The lifts manufactured by Scherbinsky lift producing plant fully meet the requirements for anti-vandal and accessibility for people with limited mobility.

“According to statistics, during 5 years of the program implementation in Kazan 40% of old houses have been repaired. When you look around, it seems that there are more of them. However, many citizens look forward to their turn. Of course, we have to continue major repairs trying to use new technologies and improving quality”, summed up Aleksei Pesoshin.
