Modern projects and construction of metal structures were discussed today at a conference in Kazan

A specialized conference on the topic «Multi–apartment residential buildings - design and construction of metal structures» was held in Kazan. The event was attended by Deputy Ministers of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilshat Gimaev and Vladimir Kudryashev, Chief Architect of Kazan Ilsiyar Tukhvatullina, manufacturers of metal structures for industrial and civil construction, representatives of development companies. Alexander Stepanov, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Activities and Architecture of the Ministry of Construction of Russia, spoke via videoconference.

The expansion of the use of steel in production and the improvement of technical regulation in the field of construction and fire safety of capital construction facilities became the central theme of the event.

«Metal structures today have a multifaceted application in construction. It is gratifying that the Federal Center has created a regulatory framework that allows us to look confidently into the future and hope that this segment of housing construction will be appreciated,» Ilshat Gimayev said.

In addition, technical solutions and advantages of the technology of construction of apartment buildings on metal frames, their economic efficiency, features of the design and construction of social infrastructure facilities, industrial facilities were discussed.

«I think this segment will occupy 3-5% of the market in the future. Manufacturers say that in some places such technology will be cheaper than conventional housing construction. Among the advantages here is also the speed of construction of objects, structures are conveniently assembled. These are capital buildings that should last at least 50 years, there are no breaks for them according to SNIPS and GOST standards,» the deputy minister stressed.
