The issues of implementing the program of modernization of municipal infrastructure in the field of water supply and sanitation were discussed at the visiting joint meeting of the Committee on Housing Policy and Infrastructure Development and the expert council under the committee, which was held today at the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal in Kazan.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Kudryashev, Head of the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Gallyamov.
The deterioration of utility networks is called the main problem faced by the housing and communal services of the republic in recent years. Work on their modernization is underway, noted Ayrat Gallyamov. In 2010-2022, more than 3 thousand km of water supply network, 469 water towers and 474 artesian wells were built and reconstructed under the republican program to provide the population with drinking water. The total amount of financing amounted to more than 9 billion rubles. This year it is planned to build and overhaul 126 water supply facilities in 45 districts of the republic. The funding limit is set at 1.3 billion rubles.
As part of the programs for the modernization of wastewater disposal systems in 2014-2022, 155 measures were carried out in the amount of almost 5 billion rubles. This year, work is planned on 12 facilities in the amount of 389 million rubles.
The republic is also actively implementing the federal project "Clean Water", within the framework of which 2 facilities will be modernized this year. According to the federal project "Improvement of the Volga", the main goal of which is to reduce the share of contaminated wastewater by three times, work has been completed on 13 facilities totaling 2.66 billion rubles. Currently, the reconstruction of biological treatment facilities in Kazan is continuing.
In addition, as noted by Ayrat Gallyamov, this year the Russian Government launched a program aimed at modernizing the municipal infrastructure. Over 4.3 billion rubles will be allocated to Tatarstan within 2 years, taking into account co-financing from the republican budget, the total amount will be more than 8 billion rubles.
