Today marks the World Day of Occupational Safety
In order to promote the prevention of accidents and diseases in the workplace, the World Labor Protection Day is celebrated annually on April 28.
The World Day of Occupational Safety and Health is an important tool in terms of raising awareness about how to improve safety and conditions at work, and how to promote the political importance of safety and health at work.
The national culture of occupational safety and health is respect for the right to safe and healthy working conditions at all levels, when Governments, employers and employees actively participate in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment, clearly defining rights and obligations, and when the highest priority is given to the principle of prevention.
