Alexey Frolov took part in the opening of an educational seminar on working with public spaces

A training program on working with public spaces for managers and employees of districts and urban districts of Tatarstan has been launched in Kazan today. The participants were welcomed by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Frolov.

 

Programs for the creation of public spaces, which have been implemented in the republic since 2015, have become a response to the current demands of society. Over 8 years, 367 public spaces and 3,379 courtyards of apartment buildings have been landscaped in Tatarstan. The three-day training program will allow you to consider modern tools for managing parks and squares, get acquainted with the experience of leading experts from other regions of Russia.

 

Alexey Frolov, in his address to the participants, spoke about the implementation of projects by the department to create a comfortable urban environment. "Since 2016, in close cooperation with the team of the Institute of Urban Development, we have been working on the implementation of projects to create a comfortable urban environment. I would like to note that the seven-year activity on the development of public spaces has led to large-scale transformations in the republic. The existing territories are updated annually in the republic. From 50 to 70 new landscaped parks, squares, embankments, squares and streets are being built even in the most remote settlements of Tatarstan," he said

 

The Deputy Minister outlined the main task - to coordinate the work on the construction of 68 public spaces in 38 settlements. In this paper, the emphasis is on the principles of participatory design. The task of this training program is to learn how to apply ideas that are born in discussions on the ground, equally well regardless of the type of public space.
