A round table on mortgage products and real estate was held today in the Republican Ministry of Construction with the participation of representatives of banks and developers. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilshat Gimaev.
The Deputy Minister began his speech with information about the indicators of housing commissioned in the republic. "This year we have set the bar at 3 million square meters of housing and we are keeping pace well: as of June 9, 1 million 917 thousand square meters were commissioned in the republic, which is 62% of the annual plan," Ilshat Gimayev said. At the same time, he stressed that the republic still maintains high rates of construction, despite the challenges of the external environment.
As for the sale of housing, according to the monitoring data of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation from April to May of this year, there has been a positive trend in housing sales in the republic in comparison with last year's figures. "We are monitoring the information. This year, in April, there was a positive trend in sales, so in April of this year, housing was sold for 6.7 billion rubles, in May – by 7.2 billion rubles. We really hope that there will be a steady trend towards strengthening growth in this direction," the Deputy minister said.
In addition to construction issues, the round table discussed mortgage banking and joint lending programs with developers, the prospects of the mortgage market in the near future, and also presented the most popular loan programs among the population. The participants of the round table were concerned about whether the mortgage will remain an affordable and possible tool for the purchase of real estate by Tatarstan residents in modern realities. At the same time, the Deputy Minister clarified that at last year's round table events, issues of raising the lending limit for preferential mortgage programs were actively discussed. The result of the activity was the initiative of the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to increase the amount of credit products issued.
