LLC Sariya-Bio-Indastris-Volga opens a plant in SEZ “Alabuga”

The opening ceremony of a plant of LLC Sariya-Bio-Indastris-Volga took place in special economic zone “Alabuga” on September 9th, 2013.

The ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan M.G.Akhmetov, Honorary Member of the Supervisory Board of concern “Rethmann” Norbert Rethmann, Director General of “Sariya-Bio-Indastris” Manfred Gellner, Director General of JSC SEZ “Alabuga” T.N.Shagivaleyev, and heads of the Republic’s ministries and departments.

 “SARIA Bio-Industries” is a group of European companies with headquarters in Selm (Germany) and is part of concern Rethmann being one of the leaders on the collection and recycling of household and industrial waste in Europe. The main activity of the company is the disposal of by-products of the meat and food industries. The group of companies “SARIA Bio-Industries” is one of the largest in Europe, with about 100 manufactures in ten European countries, employing over 3,600 employees. Many years of experience of “SARIA Bio-Industries” in this area allows to select technologies and techniques for the most reliable and safe disposal of raw materials, which helps to preserve the environment and allows to manufacture products of the highest quality.

Company LLC Sariya-Bio-Indastris-Volga located in SEZ “Alabuga” will focus on gathering and processing of raw animal material and the production of bone tankage and animal fat. Meat waste will be used as raw material generated in the Volga Federal District. The planned capacity of the plant is the following: processing of 70,000 tons of raw material per year, production of 7,000 tons of animal fat per year (10% yield), and production of 17,500 tons of bone tankage per year (25 % yield).

The opening of the plant of LLC Sariya-Bio-Indastris-Volga for the production of bone tankage and animal fat in SEZ “Alabuga”, besides the direct economic effects, will improve the ecological situation in the Volga Federal District, to improve the epizootic condition of the area, to ensure the regional market with quality products at affordable prices, create jobs and increase the share of final processing of raw materials of animal origin in the region.
