A seminar-meeting with representatives of state authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation on the implementation of the federal project «Improvement of the Volga» is being held in Kazan in the B. Rameev IT Park. The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Frolov.
The largest treatment facilities are biological treatment facilities (BOS) of Kazan with a capacity of 650 thousand cubic meters.m. Modernization works have been carried out as planned since 2021 and will be completed by the end of next year. Large-scale works include the construction of 33 new facilities and the reconstruction of 22 existing ones.
At the same time, BOS are a source of pollution of the Volga. Their reconstruction will reduce the negative impact on the surrounding nature.
The seminar will discuss projects already implemented in the regions for the construction and modernization of sewage treatment plants within the framework of the federal project «Improvement of the Volga», as well as the improvement of environmental and environmental legislation, rationing of wastewater discharges.
The seminar also includes an exhibition of projects, innovative and technical developments dedicated to the improvement of the Volga River, which was visited by Pavel Baryshev, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, and Alexander Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. In addition, the event was attended by Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation Alexey Yeresko.
