In 2024, Tatarstan plans to implement 36 investment programs in the field of water supply and sanitation

In January-October 2023, the implementation of investment programs for the development, modernization and reconstruction of municipal infrastructure facilities amounted to more than 4 billion rubles. This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Frolov at a briefing at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Alexey Frolov informed journalists that 17 investment programs in the field of water supply and 16 investment programs in the field of sanitation for 14 organizations of the municipal complex have been approved for 2023. The total financing plan is almost 7 billion rubles. «Compared to 2022, the number of programs has increased by 11, the planned amount of funding has increased by more than 2 billion rubles,» the first deputy minister said.

Investment programs in the republic are being implemented in order to attract additional investments in public utilities, increase the level of housing improvement, and reduce the deterioration of communal infrastructure.

For 2024, 36 investment programs in the field of water supply and sanitation have been approved, the financing plan for which will amount to more than 6.5 billion rubles.

In addition, funds are allocated annually within the framework of republican and federal programs for the modernization of municipal infrastructure. The largest of them is the republican program for providing the population with drinking water. This year, the program has completed the construction and reconstruction of 211.15 km of water supply networks, installed 38 water towers, drilled 16 artesian wells totaling over 1 billion rubles.

Alexander Grunichev, Chairman of the State Tariff Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Natalia Butaeva, Deputy Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in a briefing on changes in utility tariffs in 2024 and the implementation of investment programs by regulated organizations.

According to Alexander Grunichev, in all regions of Russia, the planned indexation of utility tariffs will take place from July 1, 2024. «In accordance with the requirements of federal legislation, the State Tariff Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan is obliged to approve tariffs for 2024 by December 20 of this year,» he said. The head of the tariff committee noted that the threshold for the growth of the index of citizens' utility bills on average in the republic was approved by an order of the Government of the Russian Federation in the amount of 10.8%, the maximum maximum permissible deviation that can be used for individual municipalities is set at 4.9%.
