The Buinsky Drama Theater opened after reconstruction

The Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, took part in the opening of the building of the Buinsky State Drama Theater after reconstruction. He was accompanied by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin at the event.

Repair work on the facility began in 2022.  During the reconstruction, the total area increased to 4 thousand square meters, and the capacity of the hall was more than 400 people.

Rustam Minnikhanov appreciated the new theater building and noted that the cultural facility meets the most modern requirements. "I am sure that the new cultural space will become a real center of attraction. It will serve not only the residents of Buinsky, but also the neighboring districts. The Ulyanovsk region is near you. It is important to fill the theater with high-quality content, while productions should be not only in the Tatar language. There are many Russians, Chuvash, and representatives of other nations living here. Tatarstan is a multinational republic where everyone lives in peace and harmony," Rustam Minnikhanov added.

The Buinsky Drama Theater opened as part of the national project "Culture". Earlier, with the support of the federal budget, two theaters were opened in Naberezhnye Chelny, as well as a young spectator theater in Nizhnekamsk.
