The presentation of the Master Plan of the Kazan agglomeration took place in Kazan

22 December 2023, Friday

The presentation of the Master Plan for spatial and socio-economic development of the Kazan agglomeration took place at the State Budgetary Institution "Institute of Spatial Planning of the Republic of Tatarstan". The event was attended by Vladimir Kudryashev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The main indicator and result of the Institute's work by the end of 2023 was the development of a Master Plan for the territory of the Kazan agglomeration, which includes Kazan, Verkhneuslonsky, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsk, Laishevsky and Pestrechinsky municipal districts of the republic.

This document is focused on the qualitative transformation of space and defines the main goals, priorities and directions of development of both individual sections of the territory and the agglomeration itself as a whole. The master plan provides answers to the most necessary questions: what needs to be done first, what needs to be changed and what can give the maximum positive effect.

The master plan is the starting point and the basis for the development of a subsequent set of territorial planning documents, such as: schemes of territorial planning of districts, master plans of urban districts and settlements, rules of land use and development, documentation on the planning of the territory, etc.

After taking into account the proposals from the participants of the meeting, the document will be presented to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.

The presentation was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Rustam Nigmatullin, Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan - Rustem Merzakreev, Chairman of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on Housing Policy and Infrastructure Development - Alexander Tygin and representatives of other republican ministries.
