Rustam Minnikhanov visited new scientific and educational spaces at KGASU
Rustam Minnikhanov visited Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and got acquainted with the work of the new scientific and educational centers "Streams" and "Development". The President of the Republic was accompanied by Rector of KGASU Rashit Nizamov, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, representatives of construction companies.
The properties of heat, air, water and gases flows are studied in the scientific and educational laboratories of the center "Streams". Advanced competencies of future specialists in heat and gas supply and ventilation, water supply and sanitation are being formed here, energy-efficient projects of engineering systems of buildings and structures are being developed and implemented.
Rustam Minnikhanov inspected a number of laboratories. Thus, the laboratory "Chemistry of Water" is working to determine the quality of raw and purified natural and wastewater. The Pumping Station space is equipped with technologies for studying the operation of pumps in various connection options. In the Water Treatment work area, students are introduced to the features of water treatment plants that purify natural water from a surface source to drinking quality. The Raisu of the Republic also got acquainted with the sites for the study of lighting, ventilation and duct systems.
Then Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Development center, designed to solve a complex of economic and managerial tasks at all stages of an investment and construction project. A digital platform has been created in the Expertise laboratory, which makes it possible to analyze projects, identify cost indicators and the degree of readiness of structural elements. The elements of the "smart home" are demonstrated in the "Management" department: models for controlling the heating system of an apartment building, the microclimate of premises, energy efficiency of an apartment building, as well as controllers of security systems. A separate educational block is devoted to the issues of digitalization.
The rector of the university, Rashit Nizamov, said that the work of the scientific and educational centers "Streams" and "Development" is carried out in close cooperation with industrial partners. Companies provide the necessary equipment, software products, and participate in the educational process. Rustam Minnikhanov positively assessed this experience. "Companies themselves are interested in working with the university. They are preparing specialists for themselves who will have advanced skills. The university is the best place for this. All conditions have been created here not only for students, but also for professional development of representatives of the construction industry," said the Rais of Tatarstan.
