The measure of federal support for the modernization of the municipal infrastructure system will give a faster and more effective result. This was stated today by First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Frolov at the Eurasian Conference "Polymer Pipeline Systems".
The conference with the participation of representatives of federal and regional government authorities, municipalities, as well as heads of large Russian companies participating in the housing and communal services market is taking place today in Moscow. The topic of discussion was the current problems of infrastructure construction.
Speaking at the conference via videoconference, Alexey Frolov noted that the issue being discussed today is a key one for housing and communal services. "The condition of the networks, their level of wear and tear, and the economy of housing and communal services enterprises in the future depend on what projects we develop and what decisions we make today. The technologies that we will use should be as effective as possible in terms of reducing accidents," A.Frolov said.
In his speech, the first deputy minister said that since 2010, Tatarstan has been implementing republican programs for major repairs of social facilities and housing stock, including network repairs.
At the same time, according to A.Frolov, the repair of sewage treatment plants causes an increase in the cost of their further operation. In order for us to improve the quality of water and runoff, we also have to work on subsidizing industry enterprises. Here, the first deputy minister cited the example of the work of the Kazan Water Utility, where an investment program is being implemented. "But without financial support, we will be able to solve the issue of modernization only in small steps. Comprehensive measures to support the modernization of the municipal infrastructure system will give a faster and more effective result," he stressed.
