Today, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Mazit Salikhov spoke at a session of the Kazgorduma, where they discussed the modernization of the municipal infrastructure of Kazan.
To date, one of the problematic points in the sphere of housing and communal services remains the condition of engineering infrastructure facilities. According to statistics, the length of utility networks in the republic is 26 thousand 546.8 km, of which 8 thousand 561 km need to be replaced, which is 32%.
"The condition of public utilities networks affects their accident rate. According to information received from municipalities to the operational dispatch service of the Ministry, 5,552 accidents occurred at public utilities facilities over the past 2023, where 64% of the total number of incidents occurred in the field of water supply and sanitation," Mazit Salikhov said.
Programs funded from the republican and federal budgets partially help solve the problem of deterioration and accidents on public utilities networks. Since the problem of deterioration of engineering networks is acute throughout the country, the President of the Russian Federation has decided to launch a federal program for the modernization of municipal infrastructure.
Now it has been approved for 2 years, it includes 67 facilities for a total of 4.71 billion rubles. Half of the upgraded networks under the program are heat supply networks. In addition, in order to solve this issue, investment programs of municipal organizations are being implemented. For 2024, 36 investment programs in the field of water supply and sanitation have been approved in the Republic of Tatarstan.
