22 November 2024, Friday

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko visited the construction site of the Football Development Center as part of a working visit to Kazan. Together with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Deputy Prime Minister assessed the progress of the construction of the facility.

The new sports center is being created to form a full-fledged cycle of the football training process, both for children's teams and for professional athletes.

In the future, three more fields are planned to be built on the territory: two on the site of the dismantled stadium and one field in the indoor arena.

In addition, the construction of a women's building for athletes has started. On the 1st floor there will be locker rooms, a recovery area, referees' rooms, medical offices, a doping control area, halls for press conferences and media work. Living rooms will be located on the 2nd floor – a total of 28 rooms for 76 residents.

It is also planned to commission a new universal sports complex in 2027. The facility is designed for full-fledged sports training, accommodation and rehabilitation of football players. According to the project, 40 residential rooms for 67 people are planned.

The old and new buildings of the base, as well as the women's building, will be connected by aboveground galleries, forming a full-fledged modern sports complex.

Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that the sphere of sports is dynamically developing in the Republic of Tatarstan. This serves to achieve the national goal set by President Vladimir Putin – improving the health of citizens. "On behalf of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, we inspected the Football Development Center and made sure that the work is underway, funding under the state program "Development of Physical Culture and Sports" is provided," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.

The Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin took part in the inspection of the facility.
