In Tatarstan, 64 public spaces will be landscaped this year for a total amount of 2.4 billion rubles. Among them, 62 objects pass through the program "Formation of a comfortable urban environment" and two are winners of the All–Russian competition for small towns. This was announced at a press conference by Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Mazit Salikhov.
"We actively began to involve citizens in the process of improvement of the republic in 2015. At that time, a program was implemented to repair parks and squares. The population took part in its discussion. It is still actively involved both in the selection of spaces and at the design and implementation stages. From 2015 to 2023, 298 public spaces were equipped for a total amount of about 21 billion rubles. As for this year, 64 spaces are planned," the Deputy minister said.
He stressed that the program for the improvement of parks and squares was highly appreciated at the federal level and formed the basis of the national project "Housing and urban environment".
