Tatar-inform News Agency summed up the results of the II International Forum "REBUS: Agglomerations. Challenges. Prospects".
Recall that REBUS 2024 was held on November 14 and 15 at the Kazan Expo site. In total, 17 sessions were held within the framework of the forum, which were attended by the largest agglomerations of Russia, more than 80 speakers and experts, 1200 specialists from the regions of Russia and foreign countries. The program of the event included a discussion of key issues of the industry – infrastructure, legislative, tourism, historical, cultural and other aspects of the development of urban agglomerations.
According to Vladimir Kudryashev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan, all 17 sessions were successfully held. The topic of agglomerations development is relevant not only in Russia, but also in foreign countries. In addition to Russian experts, speakers from China, Qatar, Brazil, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, India, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan actively participated in the forum.
As the Deputy Minister noted, a separate block of events was devoted to discussing the main conceptual issues on the development of the agglomeration. Among them is the expert discussion "Masterplanning of agglomeration. From development to implementation" and the session "Masterplan development as a communication platform" with the participation of Oleg Grigoriev, Director of the GBU "Institute of Spatial Planning of the Republic of Tatarstan", as well as the session "Introduction of agglomeration into the legislative field" with the participation of Andrey Nikiforov, Deputy Director of the Department of Territorial Development Planning of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
