16 August 2024, Friday

Marat Rakhimov, General Director of Kazmetrostroy JSC, reported to Rustam Minnikhanov on the progress of construction of the first section of the second line of the Kazan metro.

Recall that the second line of the Kazan metro will connect five districts of the city: Privolzhsky, Sovetsky, Novo-Savinovsky, Moskovsky and Kirovsky. The first section, 5.37 km long, includes four stations: "100th anniversary of the TASSR" (Julius Fuchik Street), "Akademicheskaya" (intersection of Fuchik and Zavoysky streets), "Zilant" (intersection of Fuchik and Lomzhinskaya streets), "Tulpar" (intersection of Pobedy Avenue and ul.Sakharov). Rustam Minnikhanov was presented with design options for new metro stations. They are scheduled to open in 2027.

Then the Rais of Tatarstan observed the completion of work on the sinking of the left distillation tunnel from the Akademicheskaya station to the "100th anniversary of the TASSR". It should be recalled that the start of the work of the Aisylu tunneling complex was given in February this year.

Marat Rakhimov also showed a scheme for the development of the second metro line to the promising RKB station. Pre-design work is currently underway (tracing, collecting source data).
