Marat Aizatullin: The share of the construction complex in the gross regional product was about 8 %

The share of the construction complex in the gross regional product was about 8%, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin said today at a board meeting of the department.

The meeting of the final board of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan took place today in the new building of the Kamal Theater (Kazan). The meeting was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Construction and Housing of Russia, and other officials.

The main report on the results of the construction complex in 2024 and plans for 2025 was delivered by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin.

As the head of the department noted in his speech, the volume of work on the type of activity "Construction" increased by 13%, amounting to 880 billion rubles in comparable prices. For comparison, at the end of 2019, when the implementation of national projects began, it amounted to 364 billion.

The volume of services provided and the organization of the housing and communal complex increased - plus 12.5%.

"Unfortunately, for the 2nd year in a row, there has been a negative trend in the number of employees, especially in the construction industry. The current shortage of personnel is confirmed by statistics: this is more than 13.5 thousand vacancies, of which 13 thousand are in construction," said Marat Aizatullin. 

Over the past year, the republic's educational organizations have graduated more than 5,700 specialists for the construction and housing and communal services industries. Companies are directly involved in forecasting the need for personnel. The main task is to attract young people, keep them in the industry and work to increase the prestige of working professions.

One of these tools, according to the minister, is the International Construction Championship. In the reporting year, the Tatarstan national team brought 4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals in 7 nominations.
