Rustam Minnikhanov at the Board of the Ministry of Construction of Tatarstan: All construction projects are aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens

The meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan was attended today by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The main topic of the board is summarizing the work of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2024 and the tasks for the current year.

The event was held in the new building of the Galiaskar Kamal Theater in Kazan.

Prior to the start of the Board of the Rais of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov and the Minister of Construction and Housing of Russia Irek Fayzullin visited Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KGASU).

The board members were shown a video about the main results of the department's activities over the past year. The report was delivered by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin.

Thus, the share of the construction complex in the gross regional product of the Republic of Tatarstan was about 8%. The volume of work on the type of activity "Construction" increased by 13%, amounting to 880 billion rubles in comparable prices. In 2024, a record 3 million 452 thousand 700 square meters of housing were commissioned in the region. The housing commissioning plan for 2025 is 3 million 260 thousand square meters. m.

For the second year in a row, the industry has been experiencing negative dynamics in terms of the number of employees: the current shortage of personnel is more than 13.5 thousand vacancies. According to the head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan, the main task is to attract young people to the industry and work to increase the prestige of working professions.

Rustam Abdulkhakov, Director of Municipal Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal, reported on the development of Kazan's water supply and sanitation system.

The speech of Rauzil Khaziev, General Director of JSC Tatenergo, was devoted to topical issues in the field of heat supply at the facilities of JSC Tatenergo.

Rafar Shakirov, Director of the State Expertise of the Republic of Tatarstan, informed about the development of the digital vertical in the construction industry of the Republic. An information system for project management is being implemented in Tatarstan. By the end of 2024, the republic took 1st place in the rating of the Ministry of Construction of Russia among 89 subjects of the country in this area.

The Minister of Construction and Housing of Russia Irek Fayzullin, speaking at the board of the Ministry of Construction of Tatarstan, thanked the builders for their work in 2024. Speaking about the new building of the Kamal Theater, he emphasized that domestic technologies were used in its design and construction.

Irek Fayzullin also noted the technical uniqueness of the new Kamala Theater building, which became the venue for the meeting of the final board. The designs for it were produced by domestic companies, which is especially important in modern conditions, he stressed.

"All the projects that we have the opportunity to implement today – with the support of the federal center and the President of our country – all of them bring about serious changes in the quality of life of our citizens," said Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, at the final board of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan participates in all federal projects and that the region has no debts on federal projects. He also thanked the Russian Ministry of Construction and its head Irek Fayzullin, as well as other federal ministries for their well-coordinated work. "We have a good relationship, and it gives us great opportunities. 880 billion rubles is a huge amount of work in construction!" said Rustam Minnikhanov.

"Of course, I sometimes scold you," said Rustam Minnikhanov, addressing the participants of the Board of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan. – But that's not what we're here for today. I want to say that the republic has no other builders besides you, and everything we do is done together! Therefore, I wish you all patience, because despite the rain, snow or other weather events, you are always at work, because all these projects need to be implemented."

Rustam Minnikhanov recalled that there were also heated debates here, during the construction of the new Kamal Theater building. "We remember how we fought with you here, and now everyone is happy and smiling," he said. – But construction is not so easy! And the job of a builder is very difficult."

The Rais of Tatarstan also commented on the work of the housing and communal services. "As for housing and communal services, we all don't want to give them a tariff or anything else, but at the same time we want everything to be fine there. It doesn't happen that way. Therefore, the modernization of the municipal infrastructure is a very necessary project. Modernization of public utilities is a very serious problem for our country.  We will also be involved in modernization in the republic. There will also be a republican program for the federal part." (It should be recalled that starting in 2025, Tatarstan will implement a republican program in addition to the federal program for network modernization).

Rustam Minnikhanov also recalled that in the region, the problems of construction and housing and communal services are discussed at the government level weekly at Saturday meetings.

Then the head of the Ministry of Construction of Russia Irek Fayzullin and Rustam Minnikhanov presented state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished representatives of the construction industry. In particular, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin was awarded the medal of the Order of the Second Degree "For Services to the Fatherland".
