The regional day of the II All—Russian Municipal Forum "Small Motherland - the Strength of Russia" has started in Tatarstan. Representatives of municipalities from other regions of the country got acquainted with the key facilities built and improved in Kazan.

"We are glad that the regional day of the forum will be held in Kazan this year, as Tatarstan is the founder of the program of improvement of public territories. Over the past ten years, we have achieved great results and gained experience, which it is time to share with other regions. In Tatarstan, over 400 public spaces were built from scratch or renovated for a total amount of more than 33 billion rubles, both in large cities and in small settlements," said Marat Aizatullin, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan.

One of the sites where the delegations were guided was the largest children's park in Kazan, "Elmai", opened in 2024. The guests were shown architectural solutions, introduced to public spaces, and given hot Tatar tea.

The next destination was the Blue Lakes. The guides described in detail and showed in the photo the condition of the territory before landscaping, and described how it was put in order. Moreover, the guests did not limit themselves to the guide's story — many talked with the local "walruses" who came to swim, about how it was and how it became.

The excursions also affected two opposite suburbs of Kazan: the residential complex "Salavat Kupere" and the village of Derbyshki. In the first one, there was a tour of a landscaped park near a school and kindergartens, and in Derbyshki, the guests were shown one of the territories landscaped according to the program of the Raisa of Tatarstan "Our Yard".

In 2020, Tatarstan launched the Our Yard program of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, which became a logical continuation of the work on the transformation of public spaces and changes in the urban environment. Over the five years of the program's implementation, more than 5,000 house territories have been landscaped.

"We take Tatarstan as a great example in terms of development, infrastructure and the formation of the urban environment. The program today was very intense, it was very interesting to hear how all this was implemented. There are a lot of things to learn, and for us, visiting here is a very great experience," Gennady Ignatiev, Mayor of the Yakut city of Nyurba, shared his impressions with Tatar—inform.

He also noted that Nyurba has two projects from Kazan architects, which is why he was pleased to see the similarity of his hometown with the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. In conclusion, he added that he was really looking forward to tomorrow with his business program. "So that it would be beautiful not only in Tatarstan, but also here," stressed the mayor of the Yakut city.

The All—Russian Municipal Forum "Small Motherland — the Strength of Russia" is the largest annual event aimed at the development of municipalities. The forum itself will be held in Moscow this year, it will bring together over 9,5 thousand participants and more than 1 thousand speakers from all regions of the country.

In addition, from January to April, 16 regions of the country will host regional days of the forum, which will be devoted to various thematic areas: from comfortable housing to the economy and interaction with the population.
