Since 2015, over 400 public spaces have been improved in Tatarstan, every tenth of which is located in the capital of the republic. This was stated by the head of the Directorate of Parks and Squares of Kazan, Aigul Latypova, on the regional day of the II All—Russian municipal forum "Small Motherland - the strength of Russia".
148 park improvement projects worth 15.5 billion rubles have been implemented in Kazan over the past 15 years. The area of green areas in the city has increased 5 times during this time. Igor Kulyazhev, Deputy head of the Executive Committee, told about this on the regional day of the II All–Russian forum "Small Motherland is the strength of Russia."
In 2011, the city program "One Hundred Squares" was launched in the capital of Tatarstan, the republican program for the development of public spaces was launched in 2015, the federal project "Creating a comfortable Urban Environment" was launched in 2017, and the national project "Housing and Urban Environment" has been implemented since 2020.
