The Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan discussed issues of regulating the legal status of migrants

Today, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Marat Aizatullin held a meeting on the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 12/30/2024 No. 1126 on measures to regulate the legal status of migrants.  The meeting was attended by Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rafis Khabibullin, Minister of Internal Affairs Damir Satretdinov, Head of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Galeev.  Government customers, developers, self-regulatory organizations and contractors were also invited to the meeting.

The participants discussed the issues of regulating the legal status of foreign citizens involved in the construction sites of the republic. Recall that according to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens and stateless persons residing in Russia are required to leave the Russian Federation on their own, or from January 1 to April 30 of this year. to regulate their legal status in the Russian Federation.

More than 20 thousand foreign citizens work in the construction industry of Tatarstan. At the same time, for the economic entities of Tatarstan engaged in the type of economic activity "Construction", the Government of the Russian Federation introduced a restriction on the share of foreign workers in the amount of 50% of the total number of employees.

The responsibility for providing support for migrants, including paperwork, employment, regulatory working conditions, coordination of places of compact residence, and social and cultural adaptation lies with the employer.
