The ceremonial opening of the renovated Skrementov school after major repairs took place in the village of Chernyshevka in the Vysokogorsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The opening ceremony was attended by Ilnur Nurmukhametov, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan.

This is the second educational institution opened in the rural settlement in the last two years — last year the Boratynsky School was built here.

The large-scale overhaul was the first in the history of the school building, erected in 1989. The need to modernize the educational institution was caused by the active development of the settlements of Kaymary, Chernyshevka and Shushary, where intensive housing construction is underway and the number of families with children is growing.

After the renovation, the building has spacious offices and an updated infrastructure. The school has 15 classrooms, two workshops, an extended day room, a new dining room and a separate auditorium. The gym is equipped with changing rooms and showers, and the library has received a new book collection. The area around the school was also landscaped.

On September 1, the renovated school will accept 150 students, 25 of them are first–graders.

The school in Chernyshevka is named after Mikhail Nikiforovich Skrementov (19.12.1904 — 01.01.1949), a native of the village of Kaymary, Vysokogorsky district, a full knight of the Order of Glory and one of the few soldiers awarded four orders of Glory.
