Builders have completed the first stage of the comprehensive development of Lenin Street in Chistopol
The first stage of the comprehensive development of Lenin Street in the area from Leo Tolstoy Street to Narimanov Street has been completed in Chistopol. The work was carried out under the national project "Infrastructure for Life". The total area of the renovated public space exceeds 0.5 hectares
As part of the project, the builders reconstructed a square with a fountain, created meeting areas for young people, bike parks and an exhibition space with a bronze model of the city. There are walking paths made of paving stones and parking pockets. Lighting fixtures and a video surveillance system are installed along the sidewalks around the perimeter of the park on metal reconstructions. Various small architectural forms are mounted in the public space – benches, tables, chairs, historical and information plaques, tactile historical layout of the city center, urns.
Measures have also been taken to ensure the comfortable movement of people with disabilities and landscaping of the territory.
The registry office, library, museums, and historical buildings are located on Lenin Street. Its renovation will bring back interest in the city center and its history.
It should be recalled that the citizens actively voted for the comprehensive development of the Lenin Street section in Chistopol, taking part in the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements. As a result, this facility was included among the 7 winners in the improvement program of parks and squares of Tatarstan for 2025 under the national project "Infrastructure for Life".
In total, 51 public spaces were improved in the republic in 2025 according to the national project. Financing of the work amounted to 1,719 billion rubles.
