The scientific and production conference "Problems of production and application of concrete and reinforced concrete (engineering personnel, innovative materials and technologies)" opened today at KGASU. It was attended by scientists, heads of construction enterprises and design organizations.
In his opening remarks, Ilshat Gimaev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, President of the Union of Builders of the Republic of Tatarstan, stressed that the construction complex of Tatarstan today is the largest sector of the economy, which owns about 7 percent of the gross regional product.
"Housing construction is the main driver of the construction industry. For the third year in a row, we have exceeded the target of 3 million square meters. According to the Deputy Minister, Tatarstan's own building materials industry base, which is one of the largest in Russia, contributes to the development of the construction industry.
"Our production facilities allow us to produce all the main building materials and fully supply the republic's construction complex with products. In total, there are more than 400 republican enterprises in this industry," said the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan. – In the last 5 years alone, 48 enterprises for the production of construction products have appeared, and this year we plan to introduce 2 more."
