The Ministry of construction of Russia plans before the end of the year to prepare documents for the using Eurocodes in the Russian Federation.

The Ministry of construction and housing and communal services of the Russian Federation plans before the end of 2014 to prepare documents that will allow investors to apply the European normative and technical documents in the sphere of construction (Eurocodes) in the design and construction of facilities in the Russian Federation. Olga Dashkova made a report on the harmonization of Russian and European standards in the field of construction for the application of innovative technologies and materials. "According to our Ministry and the professional community, the Eurocodes should be alternative to national codes of practice and building regulations. Their application in Russia should be voluntary", - said Olga Dashkova. She indicated that  the Ministry of construction of Russia jointly with the national associations of self-regulating organizations in the construction translated into Russian all 58 Eurocodes, and they are already registered by Rosstandart.
