A conflict of interests in public service.

A conflict of interest in the public service - a situation in which personal interest (direct or indirect) government employee affects or may affect the proper performance of official (service) duties and which arises or may arise a conflict between the personal interest of the civil servant and the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, organizations, society or the state, can lead to harm the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, organizations, society or the state (part 1 article 10 of the Federal law dated December 25, 2008 № 273-FZ "On combating corruption").

Personal interest of the civil servant – the possibility of a public official in the performance of official (service) duties of income in the form of money, values, other property or services of property character, other property rights for himself or for third parties.
