Rustam Minnikhanov inspects construction of facilities at Innopolis

On June 6, Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the construction of facilities in the Innopolis innovative satellite town near Kazan.

The inspection began with the Popov Technopark where Minnikhanov and his party looked around the technopark building – its lobbies, offices, conference and other rooms.

Then, Acting Tatarstan President visited the Innopolis University campus where the university building was erected. 

The next object inspected by Minnikhanov was the sports complex, which houses multi-purpose sports hall, swimming pool and showers, as well as technical facilities.

On June 9, 2015 the official opening ceremony of the Innopolis - the first Russian city built in the 21st century will be held. It is expected Minister of Communications and Mass Media of Russia Nikolay Nikiforov, Russian Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Livanov, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and other officials will attend the event. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is also invited. 

Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Information and Communications of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin, Director General of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone Igor Nosov and other officials took part in the inspection of facilities.
