Rustam Minnikhanov lays symbolic capsule in the foundation of new swimming pool in Naberezhnye Chelny

On September 7, during his working trip to Naberezhnye Chelny, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov laid a symbolic capsule in the foundation of new swimming pool in Grenada Park.
The same events took place in Kazan and the village of Bazarnye Mataki in Alkeevsky region of the republic. All three pools are the heritage of FINA World Championship that has been recently held in Kazan.
The total area of the new pool in Naberezhnye Chelny is 3,923 square metres.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated dwellers of the town on the event and noted that new swimming pools will officially open in September 2016.
Later on the same day, Rustam Minnikhanov visited KAMAZ stadium to see results of major capital repair works the total cost of which made 200 mln roubles. The stands, administrative building, lighting system and engineering network of the stadium have been reconstructed.
The All-Russian voting for selecting priority improvement projects for 2027 is ongoing. As of May 4, 203,000 people in Tatarstan have made their choice.
Major repairs of utility networks in the 31st microdistrict of Naberezhnye Chelny are ongoing. The work began in 2025 within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life.” At that time, 1.2 km of sewer networks were replaced and 30 reinforced concrete wells were installed.
The progress of housing construction was reported by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marat Aizatullin, at a traditional meeting held at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In the current year, 14 new sports facilities are planned to be built in Tatarstan.
