Teachers of KSCU began to teach the technology of building information modeling

The Ministry of construction, architecture and housing of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the company "AK BARS Engineering" organized the first seminar for teachers of the Kazan state architectural-construction University on the introduction into the system of training students of the course "BIM technology" (technology of information modeling).

The seminar was conducted by famous Russian designers of Federal buildings and structures – head of the workshop the oldest Russian Design Institute №1 of St. Petersburg Alexander Nikitin and international expert on complex automation and Informatization of activities in the construction industry Andrei Erofeev.

Alexander Nikitin is known for introduction of BIM in projects such as the SKOLKOVO Technopark, Toyota Automotive plant, international airport Nizhny Novgorod international airport of Samara. Andrei Erofeev engaged in BIM technology in the design of objects of the Airport "Domodedovo", the Metropolitan of St. Petersburg and strategic facilities Finland, Vietnam and Russia.

For the participants of the seminar also discuss on the basics and trends of BIM technologies, the preparation of BIM specialists and participate in their implementation leading Russian Universities.

The professional development of teachers was part of the agreement between kscu and the company "AK BARS Engineering", member of the group of companies "AK BARS development" - "On cooperation on creation of the engineering center "Smart and BIM in construction". The center will release specialists - bachelors and masters who have knowledge in the field of building information modeling. The best of them will have the opportunity of employment at the enterprises of group of companies "AK BARS development".

As noted by the General Director of group of companies "AK BARS development" Marat Sagitov, the main objective of the first workshop is to lead to a "common denominator" information about BIM technologies among all stakeholders. "At the end of the event, we need to define the tasks of each of the areas taught in kgasu in the promotion of information technology in the construction industry. We also plan to define the competencies and skills that need to develop and which to teach students through the creation of a new course "BIM," - said Sagitov.
