On the eve of the Victory Day, the representatives of Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Gimadeev Azat Gayazovich. Azat Gayazovich Gimadeev was born on March 25, 1927 in the village of Almenderovo, Apastovsky District (Tatarstan). At the age of seventeen, he volunteered for the front and was assigned to the border troops in Western Ukraine. From 1944 to 1951 - continued to serve in the ranks of the Soviet Army. During this time he graduated from the military topographic technical school. However, all his life Azat Gayazovich did not cease to study - attended the courses of the Kazan Civil Engineering Institute and Gosstroy USSR. A lot of drawings of building structures and architecture were developed under the guidance of A.G. Gimadeev, including a planetarium in the Peter and Paul Cathedral (in 1989, the cathedral was handed over to the faithful), the master plan of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, housing facilities, social and cultural facilities. Azat Gayazovich gladly shared the story of his difficult but interesting life. The meeting was held in a very warm atmosphere. On May 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the progress made in the construction of the Dubravnaya metro station in Kazan.
Tatarstan President was accompanied by Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities of the republic Irek Faizullin, Minister of Transport and Roads of the republic Lenar Safin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Director General of Kazmetrostroy Company Marat Rakhimov and other officials.
Minnikhanov was informed that the main construction and installation activities at the station were completed. Now the commissioning and testing of the station's maintenance systems are underway.
Minnikhanov inspected the internal design of the station, and also appreciated a new way of contactless payment for travel using a mobile phone. Then, Tatarstan President went by train from the Dubravnaya station to the Prospekt Pobedy station.
"It is a very convenient public transport, very comfortable. No matter how difficult it is, but we are moving forward. Of course, because of weather conditions there was no time to complete the improvement work. However, the metro line is ready. I think this is a great gift for the Victory Day,” Minnikhanov said during his meeting with journalists.

On April 28, speaking at a regional video-conference held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of all regional municipalities in the Government House of the republic, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin reported that to date, as many as 966,000 square metres of housing have been commissioned in Tatarstan, which makes over 40 per cent of the plan for 2018. It is scheduled to build 2,403,000 square metres of housing in the republic.
“The Ministry is engaged in the formation of a housing construction plan for 2019-2021. We sent requests to the heads of municipal districts for the allocation of land and detailed plans for construction. A three-year programme for commissioning of housing is being formed, thus, the information should be complete and correct,” Faizullin addressed the meeting.
The construction programmes of socially significant facilities are being implemented according to the plan. As many as 28 rural club, 10 buildings of Executive Committees, 44 medical and obstretic centres, 11 outpatient clinics, 8 swimming pools, 5 multipurpose sports halls, 133 multipurpose sports facilities and block-modular skiing centres are scheduled to be built this year.
