Ilshat Gimaev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, opened the 23rd international specialized exhibition "VolgaStroyExpo" and the 22nd Forum "Security. All teams are formed exclusively from existing employees of enterprises. In Kazan, the representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan and Udmurtia will fight for the title of "the best team among employees of water, sewerage, utilities and engineering services".
In the course of planned and unscheduled inspections of the housing stock, the Kazan City Housing Inspectorate conducted 808 inspections for the 1st quarter of 2018. In the course of the inspections, 419 violations were found. Based on the results of inspections conducted to management organizations and individuals, the inspection issued 290 orders and 75 protocols on administrative offenses, including: 10 officials, 9 individuals, and 56 legal entities, among which 6 violations of licensing requirements. In the 1st quarter of 2018, the Kazan City Housing Inspectorate received 3,327 appeals on unsatisfactory maintenance of housing stock and poor-quality provision of housing and communal services. In total, 2877 appeals were considered, measures to eliminate the identified violations were taken.

In 2018 the exhibition gathers more than 100 manufacturers of construction and finishing materials, equipment, construction technologies from 20 cities of Russia and abroad, as well as developers in the field of IT solutions for government and corporate customers, radio-channel security systems, telecommunications and information systems, fire safety, road safety, personal protective equipment from 9 cities and regions of Russia. Tatarstan is one of the most comfortable regions of Russia. According to the head of the Ministry of Construction, supervised by him department is designing special standards for the improvement and development of public spaces. They are necessary to evaluate the implementation of the program for the development of the urban environment.
On April 21, speaking at a regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and all regions of the republic, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities of the republic Irek Faizullin reported that 43 municipalities take part in the implementation of capital repair programme of multi-apartment houses in Tatarstan in 2018.
Faizullin reminded that 995 multi-apartment houses with the total area of 5.3 million square take part in capital repair programme in 2018.
The architects presented to the citizens of Elabuga their vision of how the territory will looks, based on the ideas proposed two weeks earlier. According to the architects, the project is not final. They suggest to move parking spaces for cars and tourist buses and slightly reduce their number. It was also proposed to install on the square an amphitheater, art objects, benches, landscaped territory. Until April 27, applications for participation in the tender with final projects will be submitted to the Ministry of Construction of Russia. Projects that have won grants within the framework of the competition must be implemented within two years.
