Representatives of the business council of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe will study the potential of public-private partnership in Tatarstan. This was announced by the head of the cooperation and partnership section of the Economic Cooperation and Trade Department of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe William Hamilton Jeffrey during a meeting with Minister Irek Fayzullin. The capacity assessment will take place in three phases. The first is negotiations with representatives of ministries and departments of the republic. The second is the preparation of the report, and the third is the creation of an action plan. In his speech, Irek Fayzullin noted that the country has a positive experience of public-private partnership, in particular, this mechanism was used in the construction of health facilities:
"More often investors attract a specialized organization as project manager - developer, for example the Chief Investment and Construction Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan, which has staff with the necessary specialties, skills and knowledge," - he noted. During the meeting, the parties discussed various issues, including the monitoring of the technical condition of buildings and structures in the republic, the participation of the ministry in the feasibility study of priority projects, and the scope of concession agreements. The minister also introduced a proposal that would reduce the wear and tear of engineering networks in the republic. To which representatives of the business council noted the need to study this issue. In conclusion, the head of the European delegation thanked Irek Fayzullin and all the participants of the event for an open, informative conversation and expressed hope for further cooperation.
