Eight new swimming pools and five gyms in the Tatarstan regions will be put into operation this summer. This was reported by Ilshat Gimayev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan. Construction of sports facilities in the regions of Tatarstan began last year. At present, large-scale construction works are continuing. Readiness of objects is 40 - 50 percent. "The President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, decided in September 2017 to build eight swimming pools and five gyms that create the prerequisites and conditions for the development of mass sports," - the deputy minister added. Each pool will have two separate bowls for children and adults. Sports halls will be equipped with necessary modern equipment.
