The annual World Architecture Festival is one of the most significant events in architecture, this year it took place in Amsterdam. The best architects of the whole world take part in the festival, including to determine the winners of one of the most significant student architectural competitions - International VELUX Award! After reviewing the projects, the jury selected 9 regional winners from 633 entries. In the region of Eastern Europe and the Middle East, participants from Russia won in both nominations! Moreover, both participants - students of the Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KGASU): Anastasia Maslova won the regional stage of the competition in the project nomination, Anna Borisova and Kamilla Akhmetova - in the research nomination. In the project nomination, Anastasia Maslova, a student of KGASU, TIArch studio under the direction of teachers Ilnara and Rezeda Akhtyamovs became the absolute global winner with a reward of 5,000 euros.
