Rustam Minnikhanov visited the "Promenergo" production site

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov today visited the "Promenergo" production site. The enterprise for the manufacture of complete devices for intelligent electricity metering systems is located on the territory of the Zelenodolsk industrial park. Rustam Minnikhanov was accompanied by RT Deputy Prime Minister - RT Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, RT Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services Vladimir Kudryashev, Head of the Executive Committee of Zelenodolsky District Mikhail Afanasyev, General Director of Network Company Ilshat Fardiev and others. During the "Promenergo" site inspection Rustam Minnikhanov was informed that from 1st of July, 2020, network organizations are required to ensure the installation of intelligent metering systems for all consumers, and from January 2022, to organize informational exchange data between network organizations and guaranteeing suppliers, necessary for mutual settlements for the supply of electric energy. In 2019, large-scale work is underway in the territory of Tatarstan to introduce an intelligent accounting system. In 29 regions of the republic, within the framework of energy service contracts, 122 thousand smart meters are being installed and wiring to residential buildings is being replaced. Based on the results of the implementation of the contracts, it is expected to reduce electric energy losses in the distribution network by 11%, as well as increase the observability of electric networks. New smart metering devices are installed free of charge for consumers.
