A draft decree of the Government of the Russian Federation on the results of the All-Russian competition for “The most improved urban (rural) settlement of Russia” in 2011 was reviewed and approved at the meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation. The draft was developed by the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation.
The competition was held for six categories of municipalities: urban settlements (urban districts) which are administrative centers (capitals) of constituent entities of the Russian Federation; urban settlements (urban districts) with a population up to 100 thousand people; rural settlements with a population from 5 thousand people and more; rural settlements with a population of 3 to 5 thousand people; and rural settlements with a population up to 3 thousand people.
105 municipalities took part in the competition. The total prize fund to be distributed among all the winners is 100 million rubles.
The second place diploma of the Government of the Russian Federation and a cash prize will be presented to municipality “Sarmanovskoye rural settlement”. The third place diplomas of the Government of the Russian Federation and cash prizes will be presented to municipality of Almetyevsk, municipality of Mamadysh, municipality of Yelabuga and municipality “Svetloozyorskoye rural settlement” of Zainsky municipal area.
